Think of the last meeting you were in, whether virtual or in-person.
Did you feel like you were being held captive or were you captivated?
Many of us go to meetings, a lot of meetings. Yet poorly organized meetings are a multi-billion dollar problem that erodes trust and sickens organizational culture.
We can choose to design and facilitate better meetings, and now, more than ever, it’s important that we do.
If you want people to be engaged in meetings, then design your meetings to be engaging. And be disciplined in asking and answering the question, “Does this really need to be a meeting?”
