As a leader, what do you do when you don’t know the answer?
After all, if a leader doesn’t know, who does?
You could feign knowing, dance around the issue, or simply change the question.
Or you could be human and honest and lead in a way that builds credibility and trust by acknowledging that you don’t know.
Leader is not a synonym for know-it-all.
Great leaders don’t know everything.
Great leaders welcome moments when they don’t know as opportunities to model how to find answers and to enroll their team to find them and learn together.
