“Everybody I’ve talked to loves the idea.”
It might feel fantastic to hear such enthusiastic support for your idea, but this feedback isn’t really helpful.
If you want useful feedback, you’ve got to dig deeper:
- Why do they love the idea?
- What problem does it solve for them?
- What else have they tried?
- Why is it better than their current solution?
- How much pain, frustration, money, uncertainty, wasted time, etc. would it save them?
- What is the specific value it is creating for them?
- How much would they pay for it?
- How exactly would it fit into their life?
