When someone agrees with us, we think they’re brilliant. However, when someone disagrees with us, we’re often quick to label them as ignorant, immoral, or an idiot.
Physicists tend to focus on the things that didn’t make sense. That’s where the models we built to describe our world break down. That’s where the interesting questions live.
The lone genius is a myth obscuring the true origins of great work. Brilliance and innovation is most often a story of dialogue that necessitates a partner or team. And that dialogue can be about collaboration, competition, or both.
Occam’s Razor or Hickam’s Dictum? A skilled problem solver knows which heuristic to use when.

Communication is a team sport. We tend to put all the pressure on the communicator, but what about the listener?
When someone changes their mind, they’re often shamed and mocked. The thing is, changing your mind is a sign that you’re learning. How much smarter would we be if we celebrated this as a strength?
Business is about relationships. So what’s the productivity cost when we lack empathy in these relationships?
Invest in strengthening these two linchpin leadership skills and you’ll level-up across the board as a leader.
Oftentimes, things don’t start as planned. We have to choose how we restart – or don’t start – from there.
