If they did, we\u2019d be world-class in lots of things and there would be far fewer bad drivers on the road.<\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">As John Dewey said, \u201cWe don\u2019t learn from experience&#8230;we learn from reflecting on experience.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Dewey\u2019s assertion is not merely a saying. <a href=\"https:\/\/hbswk.hbs.edu\/item\/learning-by-thinking-how-reflection-improves-performance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Research shows<\/span><\/a> that reflection makes learning from direct experience more effective.
