It\u2019s an honour to be trusted to design and facilitate processes to make change happen, to make better work by making work better.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">As I do this work, I\u2019m often asked what\u2019s the rule behind the name?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Rule Number Six was inspired by a story shared in chapter 6 of the book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benjaminzander.org\/about\/the-art-of-possibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life by Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander<\/span><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\n<p>   <iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M-HG6X6fpBM?wmode=opaque&amp;enablejsapi=1\" height=\"480\" width=\"854\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cRule Number 6 is \u2018Don\u2019t take yourself so g\u2014damn seriously.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">And there aren\u2019t any other rules.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Zander and Zander describe that the practice of Rule Number 6 \u201cis to light up, which may well light up those around you.\u201d This is at the core of my work with Rule Number Six.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">This beacon of a rule is an invitation to show up as our true selves to a space that encourages bravery, and to see and connect with others as they are &#8211; even when things get tense. It\u2019s a reminder to get over ourselves so we can trust others, we can cooperate, we can co-create. It\u2019s a reminder that this is <em>the work we get to do<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">As the story goes,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"> \u201cPlease remember Rule Number 6.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">And Rule Number Six too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Rule Number Six is the work I get to do.
