What does accountability look like for you?<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are some examples of what accountability looks like for me:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Setting a weekly goal on Sunday evenings that I post on an index card near my desk and reserving time on Saturdays to reflect on progress and learnings<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Checking off tick boxes on my \u201cdailies\u201d list to hold me responsible for the small consistent habits that make up my regular grind<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Making commitments to my business partner and having a mutual working agreement that we hold each other accountable<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Kicking off Wednesdays with a video chat with my creative collaborator who has a knack for asking insightful and challenging questions that nudge or slingshot me forward<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Wearing a FitBit and tracking a few key metrics related to my health and fitness goals<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Being a member of a \u201crun club\u201d: my dogs remind me every day around 11 am that it\u2019s a great day for a trail run, regardless of the weather<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Calling my best friend every weekend, mostly to chit chat, but also to check up on personal commitments and check in on how we are doing<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Having blog readers and mailing list members who expect a daily musing from me, which means I best show up day-in and day-out to write (you might not have known you are my accountability buddy!)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If you want to take responsibility, then practice accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Accountability can look like a lot of different things for different people and can take many forms.
