Failing to draw boundaries pulls you back from the edges of possibility and innovation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Sure, you can do a lot with a Swiss Army knife and duct tape, but they probably aren\u2019t the best solution to the problem you\u2019re trying to solve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Defining what something isn\u2019t helps us better understand and design for what it is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cWhat\u2019s it not for? If the purpose is this and not this, how would it change? What would we add to and what would we subtract?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Getting clear and specific about what something isn\u2019t helps us better see what it is.
