{"id":305,"date":"2020-12-04T03:32:36","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T03:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.jal.mybluehost.me\/\/?p=305"},"modified":"2021-02-01T10:25:55","modified_gmt":"2021-02-01T18:25:55","slug":"who-and-what-systems-are-for","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rulenumbersix.ca\/about\/blog\/who-and-what-systems-are-for\/","title":{"rendered":"Who and What Systems Are For"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">We&#8217;re not here to serve systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Systems are here to serve us while providing equal opportunity for thriving.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Unfortunately, many of our systems are examples of where we\u2019ve gotten this backwards, such as healthcare, education, social media, online advertising, politics, white supremacy, and capitalism, just to name a few.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">When we\u2019re designing systems or enacting systemic change, it\u2019s crucial to remind ourselves <em>what<\/em> and <em>who <\/em>systems are for.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">It\u2019s also key to remember that unless a system is compatible with human nature, people ignore, misuse, and\/or mistrust and distrust it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">P.S.
